Onazi to smile home with 800,000 Euros Extra after Agreements with Lazio



Supper eagles mildfielder Eddy Onazi is set to be offered a new deal by Serie A outfit Lazio to fend off interest from English Premiership Sides

He was heavily linked with a move to Liverpool prior to the world cup, but with his remarkable performance at the World cup for his National team, Everton, Sunderland and Southampton are rumored to be keen on signing the 21-year old.

He currently earns a ‘chicken change’ of 200,000 Euros (N 43Million) per year making him the least paid player in Lazio’s first Eleven.

Calcio Mercato reports that Onazi wants 1,000,000 Euros (N 215 Million) a year and Lazio President Claudio Lotito has already met with Onazi’s Agent Jonathan Barnet and an agreement is almost reached.

Lazio are ready to pull all the stops to keep the mildfielder, who won the Coppa Italia in 2013 and made 29 appearances last seasion.

Since making his debut in 2012 he has so far made 45 appearances with two goals, in addition to her 21-year for Nigeria, where he won the Nations cup and played all of the country’s games at the World cup before injury forced him out in the supper Eagles 2-0 loss to France, the game in which Mikel’s incompetence was exposed after Onazi left the pitch.
