Balotelli to cost liverpool 24million

The Italy international scored 30 goals in 80 appearances for City following his £24million move from Inter Milan in 2010 but his time in England was blighted by a number of notorious incidents.
That has not deterred Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers
from making a move and, according to talkSPORT’s man in Italy, Paddy
Agnew, the 24-year-old is set to cost the Merseyside club around
£16million.
"It couldn’t have had any more official confirmation than it had this
morning from AC Milan’s TV channel. They confirmed the deal is ongoing
at the moment and they have indicated Liverpool are the club
interested," said Agnew, speaking on the Hawksbee and Jacobs show.
"They are talking a transfer fee of €20million [around £16million], which is more or less what he was bought for by Milan from Manchester City, minus the €3million bonus there was in that deal."
Rodgers has previously expressed admiration for Balotelli but denied any possibility of a transfer.
Yet the Reds boss has now turned to the hitman as he looks to boost his attacking options following the departure of Luis Suarez to Barcelona.
Should talks advance quickly, Balotelli could become a Liverpool
player in time to face former club City in their next Premier League
game on Monday.
